Hi,

you don't tell us if you are already a member of an A-kasse.

If you are not you will not be able to get unemployment benefits before you have been member for 1 year and have had an income of at least DKK 228,348 (in 2018) during the last 3 years (in total).

Only income from periods with A-kasse membership can be counted in the DKK 228,348.

You can read more about the general requirements (in english) here: https://a-kasser.dk/benefits/.

When you complete an education like you have, then you will be eligible for Unemployment benefits ("dagpenge") without having been prior member of an A-kasse.

However this requires that you apply for A-kasse memberhip at latest 14 days after finishing education. And it seems not to be an option for you anymore.

Furthermore there is a requirement saying that you must have stayed in Denmark the day before starting education and again at latest 14 days after finishing education.

So according to the information you give us, you will not be eligible for Unemployment benefits. Only after you have been member for 1 year, and have had a paid job for at least same period.

If you have met the basic requirements - which you don't have - then the next question that would be relevant to consider, would be if you will meet the coming requirement from January 1, 2019. From that date it will be a further requirement that you have stayed in Denmark or another EU/EEA country fro 7 out of the last 8 years. You can read more about this new rule here:

https://a-kasser.dk/requirement-of-7-years-of-stay-in-Denmark-or-eea/index.html

You are welcome to comment in this Q&A-forum, if you need further help.
