Is it possible to take a break from job searching without taking benefits and then get back to active searching again?

Hi,
yes it is possible.
From the time you first time receive benefits ("dagpenge") you have up to 2 years with benefits, that must be used within a period of 3 years.
You only spend of the available benefits period, when you actually get paid benefits.
14 days before you plan to take a break/holiday you must register this at Jobnet.dk. Your A-kasse will automatically get this information also.
Then the A-kasse and Jobcenter know that they should not call you in for meetings and check your joblog (jobsearching) at Jobnet.dk.
The period you take a break/are registered with holiday, will extend the period you can have benefits in the last end.
