Hi, I just graduated from my masters last week, will I receive the first payment at the end of august? or will it be added to september?
Also is it necessary to create a skat card for the taxes or that is only for when you actually have a job?

Hi,

You will receive the first payment in the end of august.

The tax works the same way as if it was salary from a job. The A-kasse will deduct full tax if they can not see your tax-card.

So if you do not already have made a tax-card, you should do it as soon as possible. Log in to www.skat.dk and do it from there.
