Hi,
it is fine if you live in Denmark right before graduation, and if you have been free student member for at least 1 year, then you can get dagpenge from day 1 after graduation. If you are not currently member of an A-kasse, then you must accept 1 month quarantine, before you can begin to receive dagpenge.
Remember to apply for membership at latest 2 weeks after graduation. However you can do it already now. You can find links on our website, and sign up online.
If you have a full time job, then you can not get dagpenge at the same time.
If you will have a part-time job, then it is possible to get supplementary benefits (supplerende dagpenge). If this is the case for you we recommend that you contact an A-kasse as soon as possible to discuss your options.
In our answer above we assume that you meet the residence requirement, meaning that you must have stayed in Denmark or another EU-country for at least 5 out of the last 12 years on the day you apply for dagpenge.
Best regards,
Anders, www.a-kasser.dk
