Non-EEA graduates with a 3 year work permit
Since 1 April 2023 it has been possible for international (non-EU) graduates in Denmark who already has a 3 year job seeking permit, to get a work permit without limitations.
This means that you are not limited to work only 20 hours per week in June, July and August, but can work full-time anywhere you want.
Conditions for getting a 3 year work permit without limitations
- You have been granted a 3-year job seeking period along with your permit as a student or you were granted a 3-year job seeking residence permit at a later stage.
- You have completed a Danish professional bachelor, bachelor, master or PhD programme approved by a state authority.

Can you get unemployment benefits?
No, because the Job seeking permit is conditional on you not receiving public benefits, e.g. benefits under the terms of the Active Social Policy Act, state study grants, housing benefits or unemployment benefits ("dagpenge").
