Good afternoon!
I transferred my Danish unemployment benefits to Bulgaria via the PD U2 route and registered as unemployed there. Approximately a month later, I secured employment in Bulgaria. As a result, around 60 days of my Danish benefits remained unused.
However, four months later, I was made redundant by my Bulgarian employer. Given this situation, would I be eligible to resume receiving my Danish benefits for the remaining 60 days covered by the PD U2?
The Bulgarian social security authority has informed me that they cannot intervene in this matter and advised me to arrange it directly with Denmark.
I would appreciate your guidance on how to proceed.

With a PD U2 document, you are entitled to unemployment benefits for the period stated in the document, which is a maximum of 3 months. The PD U2 is only valid for the period stated in the document.
If the member becomes covered by unemployment insurance in the other EEA country, the period with PD U2 is considered to be interrupted (as the member may not be double insured and must therefore be deregistered from the Danish unemployment insurance fund, “A-kasse”).
The payment of unemployment benefits on a PD U2 from a danish A-kasse is conditional on the person being a member of a Danish unemployment fund, “A-kasse”.
I assume that you began to be covered by unemployment Insurance in Bulgaria when you started working in Bulgaria, and at the same time canceled your membership in the danish A-kasse.
So you can not get the rest of the PD U2 period paid from a danish A-kasse.
