Question regarding A-kasse

Hi,

I assume that you are not already a member in an A-kasse.

If you had been a (student) member for at least one year and you also have worked together with your study you would have had different options when it comes to A-kasse /unemployment benefits („dagpenge‟).

However now there is less than one year and if you want to get Unemployment benefits when you are graduating you must use the special rules for graduates.

Please read carefully the section „Conditions for graduate rights‟.

You have to apply for membership with graduate right at latest 14 days after graduation.

Since you have not been member for at least 1 year, you wil get a „waiting period‟ for 1 month, where you will not receive any Unemployment benefits („dagpenge‟).

Please be aware that one of the conditions is a „language/affiliate‟ requirement. You can read more here:

I think you should be able to fulfill the „language/affiliate‟ requirement by the working in Denmark you have been doing – but it depend on how many hours you have worked.

Let me know if you already are member in A-kasse and have been for at least one year when graduating, because it can change my answer.
