Dear A-kasse,
I am a non-EU full-time PhD student.
My visa has an additional 6-month job-seeking period that allows me to work part-time (20 hours/week) while looking for a job after I finish my PhD.Am I allowed to receive unemployment benefits for those 6 months?
I see that I meet the criteria of being allowed to take a next-day job, but not a full-time one.In addition, if I could get the benefits, the same rule of having paid A-kasse for at least one year applies?

it is a prerequisite for the study visa that the person do not receive public support, e.g. unemployment benefits from the A-kasse.
So the study visa will be canceled if you receive any kind of public support. And in that case you will not be allowed to stay in Denmark and can therefore also not be available for the labour market.

yes the prerequisite of no public support is also applied to the job-seeking period.
