thanks a lot.
so if I was not paying voluntary, I am not eligible for any kind of maternity assistance?
BUT KU ALREADY PAID FOR ME, NO?I was consulted by the social security office:
they explained the following: I am eligible for maternity benefits if:
1. If I am employed on the day of maternity leave (I am not, as my contract expires Sept 30 and my due date is Nov 27, which is more than six weeks)
2. Or if KU paid any social security contributions during my contract: please clarify on that when possible_.
KU clarified: Dovilé has been member in Danish social security scheme as of 15th of November 2023. From this period you only had KU as your employer – therefore you become member in the Danish social security scheme.
I was consulted by social security services, that I might be eligible for some Unemployment benefits via A-KASSE: https://www.a-kasser.dk/benefits/index.html
not sure if ti helps, but this is the track I have at the moment.
Dovile SAGATIENEDeltagerHELLO
MANY THANKS1. What do you mean by “member in Danish social security scheme” – Have you been member of a danish A-kasse since 15th of November 2023 ? I AM NOT SURE. COPENHAGEN UNIVERSITY ADVISED TO CONTACT YOU. THE ONLY THING IS FOR SURE, THAT MY EMPLOYER PAID SOCIAL SECURITY FEES FOR ME SINCE 2023-11-15. I ASSUME THAT MAKE ME THE MEMBER OF A-KASSE AUTOMATICALLY?
2. If Yes, have you transfered member periods from another EU-country’s Unemployment Insurance to the danish A-kasse? I AM NOT SURE. I DID NOTHING REGARDING SOCIAL SECURITY. I WORKED, I GOT PAID THE SALARY FROM UNIVERSITY.
3. Do you have a normal salary at KU? YES, IT WAS NORMAL SALARY OF AN ASSOC PROFESSOR, IT WAS PAID MONTHLY
4. How much is your working time (per week) at KU? IT WAS FULL TIME JOB, THE WORKING HOURS WERE 37 H PER WEEK.
